How to get to the city

 

  • By plane: València airport is about 12 km from the conference venue.

         – You can reach the city centre from the airport by taxi, bus or metro.
         – The taxi takes 20 minutes to the city centre and costs about 20-25 €.
         – València airport bus line 150 leaves every 26 minutes Monday to Friday from 5:25 to 22:00. On Saturdays,    from 5:25 to 22:05, every 35 minutes. The fare is €1.45.

        – Metro. Underground service lines 3 (red) and 5 (green) from the airport to the city centre stations (Xativa and   Colón) depart every 10 minutes. Single fare to/from the city centre: €4.50.   • By train: there are trains from Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Alicante… The AVE high-speed train connects Madrid-València in a journey time of 1 hour and 35 minutes. The train station is located in the city centre. For information on timetables and fares, visit www.renfe.com
 
  • By car: There are two main roads leading to Valencia, one from Madrid (A-3) and the other from Barcelona and France (AP-7).
 
Transport in the city:
 
There is an extensive network of low-cost public transport in the city, including buses, metro, trams and taxis. Different tickets and fares are available:
 
  • Bus: single ticket (on the bus) for €1,50. Also available «bonobus» (10 journeys, bought at kiosks for €8.50). More information
 
  • Metro: single fare from €1.50 to €3.90 depending on the route. Also available at metro stations is the 10-trip «bonometro» (ranging from €7.20 to €20). Combined passes for 1-3 days are also available at kiosks and tobacconists. More information
 
  • Taxis are not expensive (but there is a minimum fare of €4.90 during the day and €6 after 22:00. Prices may vary for the summer period), and you can pick them up at taxi ranks, or you can ask reception to call one for you.
 
  • Bicycle: València is a bicycle-friendly city with more than 120 kilometres of bicycle lanes. There are many shops where you can rent a bike. More information
